Basic History of Crystal
The use of crystals dates back as far as there are records of history itself. They were used in Biblical times, throughout Ancient Egypt, Rome and date to all ancient cultures.
The bible makes mention of crystals over 200 times, one of the most notable being in Exodus, where the High Priest, Aaron, (brother of Moses) was instructed by God to make breast plate from particular crystals which he was to wear for protection and wisdom. Ancient cultures and civilizations have used crystals for many different purposes. They have been used in medicine and health care, protection, magic and rituals, as offerings and currency, scrying for gazing for divination, for good luck and wealth as well as precious gifts and items of beauty. They were used to make elixirs and as a “first aid” tool.
The actual word crystal comes from a Greek word Crystallos, from “Krysos” meaning “ice cold”, as it was originally thought that crystals were a type of ice that was so cold it would never melt. Points
Points direct energy in a specific direction or if you point the end outwards it will draw out or away from. In Feng Shui, I use them to connect lines that are not physically connected in the layout of the space. (An L-shaped house) They have a tremendous field of energy that they generate.
Geode
These stones gather energy into their interior and magnify and then very gently circulates the energy back out to its environment. They are helpful in creating spiritual growth and abundance. They have wonderful healing vibrations going back and forth to one another.
Barnacle Crystals
These crystals are partially covered by smaller crystals, mini clusters on the point and they provide insight in trust issues.
Bridge Crystal
This is when a small crystal is partially in and out of a larger crystal. They are thought to bridge both worlds. Works well to enhance teaching and communication.
Crystal Clusters
Clusters emit a sense of community and are very helpful in removing negativity from an environment. They are also useful for cleansing and activating other stones. They are great to use if you want to activate stagnant rooms and they really cover a large area.
Elestial
This is a stone that has multiple terminations on the body or face of layered crystal. Known for stabilizing brainwave frequencies and activates the pineal gland. It pulls negative energy out of the environment and is sometimes called the master healer. It protects the body from geopathic stress. These are also quite helpful in assisting one in their spiritual evolution.
Generator
These crystals are used to generate energy and they are great for stimulating the chakras. All six faces of this crystal come together at the apex.
Record Keeper
These crystals have a tiny triangle or pyramid shape on the side or face of a crystal. They are said to have information from Atlantis. They have stored wisdom from the Atlanteans and Lemurians. When one attunes and centers in meditation with this stone, the ancient information can be retrieved.
